Absolute Truths?

The statement "there are no absolute truths" is one of the most helpful when dealing with relativists. It is a self-defeating statement: If it were a true statement, then it would be absolute - negating itself. Kind of an interesting argument if you ask me.

However, it goes a step further! By proving that there cannot be an absence of absolute truth, this statement actually proves that there must be absolute truth! The fundamental assertion of a relativist actually proves relativism false!
