He is Coming

The word of God is not something we take lightly. We study it closely, cross-referencing verses to tie God's spoken word to us together and memorize passages at length. When God speaks, we listen. But what happens when God repeats Himself? What happens when He reiterates a point? Are there some things so important to God that He would make a point to tell us more than once? The answer is a very emphatic "yes."

Christ's final words to us appear not in the four books of the Gospel, but in Revelation. Revelation speaks of what is to come for us as humans. Christ has some very specific instructions for us. Of all the red lettering in Revelation, one thing stands out above all else: Christ is moving quickly.

In Revelation 3:11, Christ says, "Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown." Again, in Rev. 22:7 Christ says, "Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book." And in Rev. 22:12, "And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give every one according to his work."

Christ repeats himself three times in the body of Revelation! HE IS COMING QUICKLY! Let no one deceive him or herself. The Lord is moving, and moving quickly. There is no time to put off God any longer. Do not hold back another day! God has no desire but to love you and be loved by you. All you have to do is say, "Yes Lord! I accept this bountiful gift You give. I understand that I am undeserving and that You love me anyway. I know that I am going to mess up and disappoint you, but You will love me regardless. I lay down my life so that You may use it for a purpose greater than I can imagine, and I will follow Your love."

God will take care of the rest. Just be ready for the most awesome experience of your life: feeling the love of God Almighty bursting through your being. Nothing can compare to the awesome power of His love. Revelations closes: "He who testifies these things says, 'Surely I am coming quickly.' Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen."
