In the Image of the King

"Then God said, 'Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness... so God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." Genesis 1: 26,27 Adam and Eve: the first of humankind. They are also the parents of all mankind. God created both Adam and Eve in His own likeness. Following suit, all descendants of the pair (i.e. all of mankind), have been made in His likeness.

"'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." Mathew 22:37,38 If your neighbor has been created in the very image of God, should not loving your neighbor be considered loving God? Every person you meet in this world has been made in God's own image.

Therefore, let us not make prejudices against any group or individual. All "races" of man are equally created in His image, and every person is a reflection of God Himself. We must love each other as Christians, and we must love those who do not know us or even hate us. Only then can we truly have a heart for God.
