Not Going to Live My Life for Me

How dare I be depressed if things do not go the way I want them to? If a situation fails to meet my expectations it is because God has a greater good down the road. "For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11

God isn't going to screw me over - He's already given me Himself. I can never repay that debt, so I am already blessed beyond what I could ever atain. However, when I decide to be upset about grades, friends, sports, etc I am placing them over God's promise.

Father, help me to stop living my life for me. Help me to be free in You.
